shiver, keeper of fire and spicy

hello again. how's it going on your end?
decided to start the year kicking a knotch. shiver is my favotire character of splatoon by a mile, and the next splatfest just being about to be released she was the one i should try do something with. (ironic enough i choose team sweet in this splatfest)

usually i would call it quits after doing my flat colors as i am pretty satisfied witht he results but this time i just got a little cocky. i tried grayscale and gradient maps for the first time, and somehow the base colors made me too happy to not continue this piece with some painting.

it was a experience but i think i got a nice result. i also got to play with dramatic lightning a bit and the result looks good! i want to do more and get a true hold of it. it may be a while but that's okay, i wanna keep going. the way everything reacts with the base grayscale is really cool and maybe i can cook something nice again in the future.

basically: i'm feeling hopeful. we are not yet out of all that was bad and happening, but i see some progress and opportunities to do better, so i will. i hope you do too and feel good about it.
