heartbroken

i know it has mistakes and i know it's not perfect, but i poured my heart in this piece trying to put emotion. she has no name yet, but i am glad she's here.

it's one of my first close-ups and i feel good about it. i wish i could do better in the hair but if i try i would mess up because i need more experience before just doing it blindly, but it's okay. she is my first OC, and I can't say much about her aside that she is heartbroken. i tried to express that in her face with her eyes and mouth, which i never did before in a way that felt more natural.

slowly i feel that semi-realism is my area. full realism has no place for me and full cartoonish/anime is also not my thing. but the middle feels like home and i can absorb both sides day by day. i wish one day i can have a firm structure and deep understanding of our reality so i can break and make my own. she will be a piece on it, someday.
